How Plastics are Killing You

This Note tries to go in-depth about how plastics of any kind are really bad for you. Affecting the Endocrine, Reproductive, Cognitive, and several other functions of our body, plastics won't leave you anytime soon.

100% of males on planet Earth have micro plastics in their reproductive system now.

Wait what exactly do you mean?

Plastics were one of the greatest discoveries of humans. Probably right beside iron.

Plastics are unique because unlike many (most) other types of material -- they're too versatile.

"..and their molecular structure allows for plasticity—the ability to be molded, extruded, or pressed into a vast array of solid forms, from simple shapes to highly complex designs"

But this also means that they're hard to get rid of. One thing that the so-called nature preserving corporations are correct about is this very fact -- its extremely hard to get rid of plastics.

So what?

Fine. Let me tell you a little story.

1891 was when the chemical "Bisphenol A" was discovered. In late 1930s, it was quite a common synthetic replacement for estrogen -- the female sex hormone. This phenol was also good at morphing itself. Perhaps too good.

So good that people started liking its durability and flexibility of the things made from later on. Corporations liked it because it was quite cheap to make.

Then?

Its mass production had started. Not as a hormone pill or a contraceptive, but as a base for things like bottles, furniture, receipts, keyboards, milk packets, wrappers for food, you name it and chances are, something in it was made from it. Its name spread quickly as BPA.

It is the base ingredient of most of the plastics (polycarbonate & epoxy) made.

Chances are, the plastic can or packet that your milk comes in, the chair you're sitting on, the box you eat from, the clothes that you wear, the bottle you drink your water from, the keyboard you type on, the phone case you constantly hold as you scroll your life away -- its all BPA.

A lot of them either BPA, or even worse -- Phthalates.

(Phthalates are even worse endocrine-disrupting chemicals that are used instead of BPA after, in recent years, corporations were found guilty of trying to hide the dangers of BPA, so they switched to Phthalates. This doesn't mean that Phthalates are safe. No. Might even be worse. The reason you don't hear about it yet is exactly the reason why people in the 90's didn't hear about the dangers of BPA -- Medical Corporations)

What? What are you even talking about?

You are surrounded by endocrine disruptors. Literal synthetic hormones, that leech into everything -- your food, your water, your already estrogenic cooking seed oils, your skin, and into your blood and gametes.

"Umm.. B-but what about my BPA free water bottle????????"

You think a millionaire, thousands of kilometres away from you, cares about you or your fertility?

But still, those "BPA-free" or "Phthalate-free" plastic bottles are a joke. They replace BPA with slightly different variants of same Bisphenols -- BPS, BPF, BPM, BPABCYOUJUSTGOTFOOLED, etc. Which, are "safe" for now, but we all know how it goes at this point. And fun fact: these 'safer alternatives' are worse and more potent than BPA.

So the next time you see a plastic gym shaker that claims to be "BPA-free", remember how big of a fool they think you are.

Legal

Not because they're lying, but because BPA-free isn't necessarily Estrogenic Free

"Ehrm.. But I'm a girl" 💅

Doesn't matter. These estrogenics are worse for you too. They're unlike natural estrogen/oestrogen Even though your body has higher concentrations of estrogen.

Another story time.

Hormones like Testosterone have a single androgen receptor (something that detects the given hormone. Androgen = term for male sex hormones). However, estrogen/oestradiol (oestradiol = active form of estrogen), has two -- Alpha and Beta.

Explaining the difference between them is going to take an entire webpage, so in a nutshell. (no I'm not hiding information that disproves it. Its all proven but hard to find in your typical search results.)

Estrogen Receptor Alpha (ERα): Responsible for aggressive behavior, mood regulation, social anxiety, more of masculine functions, **stress sensitivity**, promotes fight-or-flight responses.

Estrogen Receptor Beta (ERβ): Responsible for maternal behavior, social bonding, emotional balance, nurturing care, anxiety relief, inhibits anger, inhibits fight-or-flight responses.

And can you guess which receptor do these chemicals stick to??

🥁 🥁 🥁

Yes!!

The Alpha Receptor

And these estrogenics don't just increasingly trigger the Alpha receptors, they inhibit the activation of the beta receptors, and overtime, reduce the reception by ERβ, while boosting that of the ERα.

What if I'm a dude though?

*pfft*

Then you are greatly screwed. I won't even bother to make a story.

Let me just list out the damage.

The Damage:

  • Retardation of cognitive functions, increased infertility, increased risks of cardiovascular diseases/problems. how?
  • Feminization of males. Low Libido (assuming "average" Testosterone levels).
  • Lowers Testosterone.
  • Weakens your Bones (in prolonged exposure). how 1?, how 2?, how 3?
  • Increased risk of Diabetes (Mellitus) how?
  • You maybe probably might not be able to have kids? idk seems kinda important. how 1?, how 2?, how 3?

And a lot more that you can read about...

What to do then?

  • Replace all your clothes with cotton ones.
  • Stop eating normal vegetable/seed oil. Use Olive or Coconut Oil at Worst. Clarified Butter at Best.
  • Sweat more.
  • Drink at least 4L of Water.
  • Stop cooking in non-stick pans, you don't really need them for cooking real food anyways.
  • Stop using Plastic ware for food or water. Stick to Steel/Ceramic/Glass/Borosilicate.

That's it for now

Although this should be enough of a threat already..
