Plastics are Killing You.

updated Jan 7, 2026 Health 7 min read

This Note tries to go in-depth about how plastics of any kind are really bad for you. They mess with your Endocrine, Reproductive, Cognitive, and several other systems — and they're not going anywhere anytime soon.

~100% of males on planet Earth have micro plastics in their reproductive system now.

Wait what exactly do you mean?

Plastics were one of the greatest discoveries of humans. Probably right beside iron.

Plastics are unique because, unlike most other materials, they're almost too versatile.

"..and their molecular structure allows for plasticity—the ability to be molded, extruded, or pressed into a vast array of solid forms, from simple shapes to highly complex designs"

But this also means that they're hard to get rid of. One thing the so-called environmentally conscious corporations are actually right about is exactly this -- it's extremely hard to get rid of plastics.

So what?

Fine. Let me tell you a little story.

1891 was when the chemical "Bisphenol A" was discovered. By the late 1930s, it was being used as a common synthetic replacement for estrogen -- the female sex hormone. This compound was also remarkably good at taking on new forms. Perhaps too good.

So good, in fact, that people started liking the durability and flexibility of the things made from it. Corporations liked it because it was cheap to produce.

Then?

Its mass production kicked off. Not as a hormone pill or a contraceptive, but as a base for things like bottles, furniture, receipts, keyboards, milk cartons, food wrappers — you name it, and chances are something in it was made from BPA. Its name spread fast as BPA.

It is the base ingredient of most of the plastics (polycarbonate & epoxy) made.

Chances are, the plastic carton your milk comes in, the chair you're sitting on, the container you eat from, the clothes you wear, the bottle you drink water from, the keyboard you type on, the phone case you constantly hold while scrolling your life away -- it's all BPA.

A lot of them either BPA, or even worse -- Phthalates.

(Phthalates are even worse endocrine-disrupting chemicals that corporations switched to after, in recent years, they were caught trying to hide the dangers of BPA. This doesn't mean Phthalates are safe — they might actually be worse. The reason you haven't heard about it yet is exactly the same reason people in the 90s didn't hear about the dangers of BPA — Medical Corporations.)

What? What are you even talking about?

You are surrounded by endocrine disruptors. Literal synthetic hormones, leeching into everything -- your food, your water, your seed oils (already estrogenic on their own), your skin, and into your blood and gametes.

"Umm.. B-but what about my BPA free water bottle????????"

You think a stranger, thousands of kilometres away from you, cares about you or your fertility?

But still, those "BPA-free" or "Phthalate-free" plastic bottles are a joke. They replace BPA with slightly different variants of same Bisphenols -- BPS, BPF, BPM, BPABCYOUJUSTGOTFOOLED, etc. Which, are "safe" for now, but we all know how it goes at this point. And fun fact: these 'safer alternatives' are worse and more potent than BPA.

So the next time you see a plastic gym shaker that claims to be "BPA-free", remember how big of a fool they think you are.

"Legal"

Not because they're lying, but because BPA-free isn't necessarily Estrogenic Free..

"Ehrm.. But I'm a girl" 💅

Doesn't matter. These estrogenics are bad for you too — and unlike natural estrogen/oestrogen, your body has no idea what to do with them, even though your natural estrogen levels are already higher.

Another story time.

Hormones like Testosterone have a single androgen receptor (something that detects the given hormone. Androgen = term for male sex hormones). However, estrogen/oestradiol (oestradiol = active form of estrogen), has two -- Alpha and Beta.

Explaining the full difference between them would take an entire webpage, so here's the nutshell version. (no I'm not hiding information that disproves it. Its all proven but hard to find in your typical search results.)

Estrogen Receptor Alpha (ERα): Responsible for aggressive behavior, mood regulation, social anxiety, more of masculine functions, stress sensitivity, promotes fight-or-flight responses.

Estrogen Receptor Beta (ERβ): Responsible for maternal behavior, social bonding, emotional balance, nurturing care, anxiety relief, inhibits anger, inhibits fight-or-flight responses.

And can you guess which receptor do these chemicals stick to??

🥁 🥁 🥁

Yes!!

The Alpha Receptor

And these estrogenics don't just increasingly trigger the Alpha receptors, they inhibit the activation of the beta receptors, and overtime, reduce the reception by ERβ, while boosting that of the ERα.

What if I'm a dude though?

Then you are greatly screwed. I won't even bother to make a story.

Let me just list out the damage.

The Damage:

And a lot more that you can read about...

What to do then?

That's it for now

Although this should be enough of a threat already..
